Head of Business Development (Senior / Chief Manager)

Client – A leading Telecommunication company in Sri Lanka

Responsibilities

• Responsible to Develop the strategic plan for the Growth of Business based on strategic direction set by Senior Management to achieve overall group objectives.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive and effective growth marketing strategy tailored to the businesses to help them achieve their respective business goals. This includes identifying target customer segments, channels, and messaging strategies.
• Establishment of world-class AI/ML-based automated platforms for upsell, cross-sell, retention, across the Home Business Lines. These platforms should leverage data-driven insights to deliver personalized customer experiences.
• Lead the engineering / IT, design, analytics, product management, operations, and marketing teams to design and execute growth initiatives. Ensure cross-functional alignment and integration of growth strategies.
• Identify the different market segments and understand the aspirations, behaviour and dynamics of each segment to deliver the best value to each segment.
• Innovate GTM strategies & provide guidance to planning teams on promotions/GTM planning and execution.
• Provide Guidance and drive analytics and digitization projects of the division
• Collaborate with the analytics team to provide growth dashboards and testing tools as services. Utilize data to drive insights and decision-making.
• Design and implement downstream process automation for growth models. Define and optimize user journeys for different customer touchpoints and channels to drive growth. Streamline and automate where applicable.

Expected Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, Statistics and IT / Engineering.
• MBA / MSc and/or an associate member of an international professional body (CIM, CIMA etc) would be an added advantage.
• Up to date Knowledge of Telecommunication / IT sector.
• Strong analytical skills & Problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Analytical tools such as Tablue / SQL etc.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with Experience in telecom business management & Analytical Roles.
