Role Description
The Head of Human Capital will be responsible for leading and managing the human resources function across the organization. This role involves strategic planning, talent management, employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a proven track record in HR management within the apparel or manufacturing industry
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives.
- Talent Acquisition and Management: Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment through effective communication, conflict resolution, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Training and Development: Design and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and career development.
- Performance Management: Develop and manage performance appraisal systems to ensure employee performance aligns with company goals.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies across all manufacturing sites.
- HR Analytics: Utilize HR data and analytics to drive decision-making and improve HR processes.
- Compensation and Benefits: Oversee the design and administration of compensation and benefits programs.
- Health and Safety: Promote a safe and healthy work environment in all manufacturing facilities.
- Travel: Regular travel to manufacturing sites outside Colombo to oversee HR operations and address any issues.
Qualifications
- CQHRM or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the apparel or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and regulations in Sri Lanka.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies that drive business success.
- Experience with HR analytics and data-driven decision-making.
- Willingness to travel frequently to manufacturing sites outside Colombo.
